Xi’an Lite SIMO Motor Co., Ltd (LITESIMO) is a cornerstone of the Chinese mechanical and electrical engineering industry, specializing in the R&D and manufacturing of large/medium-sized, high/low voltage AC and DC motors, synchronous motors, and high-safety explosion-proof motors. As a comprehensive technology vendor, LITESIMO controls the entire production cycle: from design and tooling simulation to precision machining, custom mold fabrication, assembly, and rigorous load-testing.
The company maintains the top production scale in China’s motor sector, serving as a critical infrastructure partner for enterprises requiring explosive-atmosphere safety. Modern processing lines and a large-scale testing center ensure that every explosion-proof motor meets the stringent requirements of heavy industries worldwide, including petrochemicals, underground mining, offshore oil rigs, and volatile chemical plants.
How SIMO integrates cost efficiencies, raw material stability, and stringent international standards for global procurement managers.
SIMO products comply with global safety directives including European CE and ATEX, International IECEx, US UL, and Eurasian GOST. This full-certification suite simplifies customs clearance and ensures immediate regulatory compliance on-site.
Located in the industrial hub of Xi’an, SIMO leverages a dense local ecosystem of high-grade raw materials, including cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheets, high-purity copper wires, and high-strength cast-iron flameproof housings.
We support custom engineering parameter adaptation. Whether your project requires specific terminal box positioning, specialized PTC thermal sensors, unique shaft extensions, or dual-frequency operations (50Hz/60Hz), SIMO delivers exact fits.
Spanning over 34 major series, 1,800 varieties, and 19,500 specifications, covering power ratings from 0.35kW up to 25,000 kW.
Our core explosion-proof series (YBX3, YBX4, and the high-efficiency YBX5) are engineered with high-strength cast iron structures capable of withstanding internal gas explosions without deforming or propagating the flame to the surrounding atmosphere. The dust explosion-proof models (YFB3, YFB4) are optimized for grain silos, textile mills, and chemical processing lines where combustible dust mixtures present a high risk of ignition. These motors feature specialized ingress protection (IP65/IP66) to prevent particulate matter from contacting hot internal components or electric sparks.
LITESIMO produces high-efficiency, high-voltage solutions under the YX, YXKK, and YXKS series, alongside wound rotor high-voltage motors (YR, YRKK, YRKS). These machines are built with VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) insulation systems that utilize mica tape and solvent-free resin to survive severe thermal, mechanical, and electrical stresses, significantly extending the operating lifetime in petrochemical pumps, compressors, and high-inertia fans.
For large-scale grinding mills in mining and cement production, we manufacture the T, TD, TK, and TDMK synchronous series. These systems provide excellent power-factor correction and torque characteristics under variable grid conditions. Additionally, our Z2, Z4, and large Z-series DC motors deliver high-reliability variable speed control, historically proven in steel rolling mills and marine propulsion.
From a state-owned factory to a leading private conglomerate, our trajectory is built on technical precision and heavy industrial engineering.
To meet international health and safety directives, SIMO motors are fully tested, approved, and certified by global regulatory bodies. Our QA processes align with standard oil, gas, chemical, and mining mandates.

Technological shifts and application-specific parameters defining the future of hazardous area motor design.
Historically, explosion-proof motors focused purely on safety rather than efficiency. With the implementation of global energy directives (such as the EU's Ecodesign Regulation), there is a massive shift toward IE4 (such as our YE4 and YBX4 series) and IE5 (YE5, YBX5 series) motors. These designs optimize electromagnetic fields and rotor configurations to minimize power losses, resulting in significant savings for 24/7 continuous operations like refinery pump stations.
In modern industrial plants, motors are rarely operated directly off the line. Variables frequency drives (VFDs) like our YBBP variable frequency explosion-proof series allow precise torque and speed control. Additionally, embedding Ex-certified temperature sensors (Pt100), vibration sensors, and space heaters directly into the wind-end and bearings allows plant managers to implement predictive maintenance models, preventing unexpected shutdowns in volatile environments.
Answers to common engineering queries regarding explosion-proof motors and synchronous electrical systems.
Flameproof (Ex d): The motor enclosure is designed to withstand an internal explosion of a gas or vapor mixture, preventing the transmission of the explosion to the surrounding atmosphere. The joints and flame paths are tightly controlled to cool escaping gases.
Increased Safety (Ex e): This design focuses on preventing any sparks, arcs, or hot spots from occurring on the internal or external parts of the motor during normal or abnormal operations. It does not contain an internal explosion but prevents one from starting.
Standard motors are rated for operation at altitudes up to 1000 meters above sea level. At higher altitudes, the air is less dense, which reduces its cooling efficiency and dielectric strength. For installations above 1000m, motors must either be derated or engineered with upgraded cooling systems (such as air-to-water heat exchangers, YXKS series) to maintain thermal equilibrium.
Selection parameters must include: starting torque (to overcome the high inertia of the mill), pull-in and pull-out torque, grid voltage fluctuation tolerance, excitation system compatibility, and IP rating. The TDMK series is specifically configured with high torque margins and low-maintenance brushgear or brushless systems to survive dust-heavy mining environments.
Yes. SIMO designs its YBBP series with wide-voltage winding options (e.g., 380V, 400V, 415V, 440V, 660V, 690V) suitable for both 50Hz and 60Hz grids. The variable frequency insulation is reinforced to resist the voltage spikes (dU/dt) typical of modern PWM frequency drives.
