High voltage soft start state cabinet is mainly suitable for (3~10kV) squirrel cage asynchronous motor start and stop control and protection. The high quality anti-parallel thyristor components and electronic control equipment are connected between the stator winding of the high voltage motor and the power supply. When the motor starts, according to a certain law (such as constant current or voltage slope) control the conduction of the thyristors, and continuously change the input of the stator winding of the motor from starting voltage to full voltage. After the start is completed, the bypass contactor is pulled in. It has the function of fault protection such as over-current, short-phase starting, peak overcurrent, etc. Using it can effectively avoid the harmful impact caused by excessive motor starting current to the power grid, and can normally use high-power motor under limited power grid capacity and extend its service life. In addition, High voltage soft start state cabinet also has a "soft stop" function, when soft stop, the motor stator winding voltage will be smoothly reduced, thus avoiding the sudden stagnation of the equipment, which is useful for the pump (can avoid the effect of water hammer) or conveyor belt.

Performance Characteristics

Soft starting cabinet can reduce the motor hard starting (i.e., direct starting) caused by the grid voltage drop, so that it does not affect the normal operation of other electrical equipment in the common network.
