Originally established in 1955, Xi’an Lite SIMO Motor Co., Ltd (LITESIMO) has evolved over 60 years to become a premier powerhouse in the manufacturing of large/medium-sized, high/low voltage AC motors, DC motors, synchronous motors, and explosion-proof electric motors. In the Chinese mechanical industry, SIMO is a dominant player, combining cutting-edge design, precise assembly, and rigorous testing within a unified system.
Ranking at the top of the motor industry in production scale, SIMO maintains an agile manufacturing environment capable of custom engineering. We specialize in highly complex mechanical tasks, advanced mold making, and advanced precision assembly, keeping us consistently ahead of industry benchmarks for global industrial equipment supply.

Methane gas and volatile coal dust present high risks in subterranean operations. Our YBK3 Flameproof Series is specifically designed for underground mining machinery. The robust flameproof enclosure is constructed from high-tensile cast iron, ensuring that if an internal ignition occurs, the flame path is sufficiently long and narrow to cool the escaping gas below the ignition temperature of the external atmosphere, preventing catastrophic explosions.
Refineries operate in atmospheres continuously laden with highly volatile hydrocarbon gases like ethylene and hydrogen. Standard electric motors present risks from spark emission. Utilizing YBX3, YBX4, and YBX5 Series High-Efficiency Explosion-Proof Motors ensures that Zone 1 and Zone 2 environments are fully insulated against electrical arcing, hot-spot generation, and mechanical sparks, offering maximum reliability under constant duty cycle requirements.
Organic dusts, such as starch, flour, and sugar, form explosive mixtures when suspended in air. Under Class II Div 1/Div 2 or Zone 21/Zone 22 classifications, our YFB3 Series Dust Explosion-Proof Motors feature IP65 dust-tight enclosures. They limit surface temperatures to prevent dust layers from reaching ignition thresholds, ensuring safe bulk cargo handling and milling operations.
Our modern technical roadmap focuses on the convergence of Ultra-Premium Efficiency and Smart Safety Monitoring. The transition from IE3 to IE4 (YE4) and IE5 (YE5) efficiency standards represents significant energy savings for industrial installations. For explosion-proof motors, efficiency improvements also lower operating temperatures, directly enhancing the thermal safety margin (T-code rating).
By integrating VFD Speed Control (YVFE3/YVFE4/YVFE5 series), operators can run motors at optimal speeds without compromising safety. Standard variable frequency drives can generate harmful harmonics and voltage spikes that stress insulation systems. To address this, SIMO motors feature class-H insulation systems, reinforced phase-to-phase insulation, and specialized thermal protectors inside the stator windings to handle high-frequency pulse modulation without degrading the flameproof barrier.
Looking ahead, the integration of IoT-enabled diagnostic sensors (monitoring real-time vibration, casing temperature, and insulation resistance) will allow operators to transition from reactive maintenance to AI-driven predictive health monitoring, preventing mechanical faults before they pose safety risks.
Why centralized Chinese manufacturing and robust logistics deliver unmatched reliability and cost advantages.
SIMO's manufacturing ecosystem in Xi'an features full vertical integration. We operate 3 specialized manufacturing factories and a dedicated subsidiary factory. From the raw electromagnetic steel sheet punching to precision coil winding, shaft machining, vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI), and frame casting, every step is controlled in-house. This minimizes reliance on third-party suppliers and protects production schedules from global logistics disruptions.
Equipped with more than 1,172 sets of advanced manufacturing machinery, our facility easily scales to large industrial orders. Our setup includes high-tonnage stamping presses, automatic CNC winding machines, large-diameter VPI systems, dynamic balancing machines, and an advanced motor test center capable of full-load, high-voltage testing up to 25,000 kW, ensuring that every motor meets global standards.
To support deployment worldwide, LITESIMO maintains rigorous compliance across key international systems. We have passed ISO9001 Quality System Certification, European Union "CE", United States "UL", and Russian "GOST". This alignment allows us to design, manufacture, and ship explosion-proof motors that comply with local regulatory and safety standards.
Verified compliance with global standards, supporting operations across highly regulated industrial zones.

Answering key engineering questions regarding explosion-proof classifications, safety standards, and efficiency classes.
Flameproof (Ex d) motors, such as our YBX3 and YBK3 series, are engineered with heavy enclosures capable of containing an internal explosion without propagating the flame to the surrounding atmosphere. The joints and flame paths are designed to cool escaping combustion gases. Conversely, Increased Safety (Ex e) motors focus on preventing the generation of high temperatures, electrical arcs, and sparks during normal operation by utilizing high-grade insulation, increased air gaps, and robust electrical connections, but they are not built to withstand an internal explosion.
The T-code defines the maximum outer surface temperature a motor can reach under worst-case operating conditions. The rating is calculated relative to a standard ambient temperature range of -20°C to +40°C. If ambient temperatures exceed +40°C, the motor must be derated, or alternative cooling mechanisms must be introduced. Selecting the appropriate T-code (e.g., T4 limits surface temperature to 135°C) is critical to ensure the motor's surface temperature remains below the ignition threshold of surrounding gases or dusts.
VFDs introduce voltage harmonics and high-frequency peaks (dv/dt), which can stress winding insulation and lead to localized heating or rotor shaft currents. If running at low speeds, the motor's shaft-mounted fan loses cooling efficiency, leading to temperature spikes. To address this, our YVFE3/YVFE4/YVFE5 variable frequency series features reinforced insulation, integrated thermistors, and insulated non-drive end bearings to prevent spark risks from shaft voltage discharge.
While both are flameproof low-voltage asynchronous designs, the YBK3 Series is specifically optimized for underground coal mine applications, conforming to coal-industry safety standards (such as MA certification in China). It features a robust design to withstand falling rock impacts and coal dust buildup. The YBX3 Series is designed for petrochemical environments, chemical processing, and other above-ground hazardous industrial zones.
