Engineered to comply with local Vietnamese grids and heavy-duty industrial environmental specifications.
Vietnam is undergoing an unprecedented wave of industrialization. As manufacturing hubs expand across provinces like Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Bac Ninh, and major infrastructure initiatives accelerate under the government's Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8), heavy industries such as metallurgy, cement, pulp & paper, petrochemicals, and thermal power generation are demanding high-efficiency power transmission solutions.
In these demanding environments, low voltage motors no longer suffice due to heat generation, high line currents, and power distribution losses. Consequently, the adoption of High Voltage (HV) Three-Phase Induction Motors operating at 3.3kV, 6kV, 10kV, or 11kV has become the standard for primary machinery drives.
However, the Vietnamese market poses unique challenges. The combination of high ambient temperatures (reaching up to 45°C), relative humidity exceeding 95% in tropical rainy seasons, and heavy airborne contamination requires specialized motor construction. Standard general-purpose motors frequently fail prematurely under these harsh environmental stresses. Specifying motors with Class F/H insulation, robust ingress protection (IP55/IP56), and tropicalized anti-fungus treatments is imperative to prevent winding degradation and guarantee long-term operational reliability.
The technological evolution of High Voltage motors is closely aligned with global energy saving targets and carbon neutrality commitments. The Vietnamese industrial sector is steadily shifting from older, lower-efficiency platforms towards state-of-the-art designs that optimize electricity consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Moving beyond standard efficiencies to IE4 (Super Premium) and IE5 (Ultra-Premium) to lower operating expenses and mitigate rising industrial electricity tariffs in Vietnam.
Utilizing high-end Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) with solventless epoxy resin and mica-based insulation systems to endure thermal cycling and moist tropical environments.
Integrating embedded RTDs, vibration transmitters, and partial discharge monitoring ports for predictive maintenance, preventing catastrophic down-time in critical systems.
Furthermore, integration with modern Medium Voltage (MV) Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) requires special technical considerations. Insulated non-drive end bearings (usually utilizing ceramic coatings or hybrid ceramic balls) and electrostatic grounding brushes are standardized in our VFD-driven product lines (such as YBBP and YVFE). This effectively mitigates high-frequency bearing currents, a primary cause of premature bearing fluting and grease breakdown.
Customized electrical and mechanical motor topologies engineered to resolve the exact challenges of heavy industries.
Vietnamese cement facilities require extreme starting torques. Our slip-ring/wound-rotor models (YR, YRKK) are combined with liquid resistance starters to deliver high locked-rotor torque while preventing supply voltage sags on regional power lines.
For critical applications like boiler feed pumps, circulating water pumps, and induced draft (ID) fans in coal and natural gas plants, we supply YKK (air-to-air cooled) and YKS (water-to-air cooled) motors designed for 24/7/365 uninterrupted operation.
Safety in hazardous atmospheres is critical. Our YBX3 and YBX5 flameproof lines, alongside YFB3 and YFB4 dust-explosion-proof motors, provide absolute safety compliance in oil refineries, fertilizer plants, and dusty coal mine shafts.
For global EPC contracts and procurement departments operating in Vietnam, procurement decisions are heavily dependent on three major criteria: uncompromising technical quality, cost-efficiency, and lead-time reliability.
By consolidating our production at our advanced manufacturing plants in China, we leverage state-of-the-art automation—including automated stator coil winding machines, vacuum impregnation setups, and computerized testing bays capable of full-load tests up to 25,000 kW. This ensures that every motor matches or exceeds the performance of Western brands, but with optimized manufacturing and design cost profiles.
Furthermore, the geographic proximity between our manufacturing base and the Vietnamese industrial zones translates into major logistical advantages. Compared to European or American manufacturers with lead times of 30 to 45 weeks and complicated shipping lanes, we offer expedited cross-border rail and road transport via the Lang Son border gate, as well as direct ocean freight to Haiphong or Ho Chi Minh ports. This slashes shipping times down to just 5 to 7 days, reducing overall supply chain risks and keeping your infrastructure projects strictly on schedule.

Critical engineering answers for plant managers, system integrators, and procurement directors in Vietnam.
In Vietnam, the primary high-voltage industrial grids run on 3kV, 6kV, and 10kV nominal voltages at 50 Hz. Under the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) regulations, starting current limits are strictly enforced to avoid voltage drops in local grids. For heavy-duty motors, integrating soft starters or choosing slip-ring (wound rotor) motors (such as the YR or YRKK series) helps reduce peak starting current while matching torque requirements.
Vietnam has a hot, humid tropical climate with high salt-fog density near coastal industrial zones (like Haiphong and Vung Tau). Without premium Class F or Class H insulation, moisture and salt deposit build-up can lead to dielectric breakdown. We utilize Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) with specialized solventless epoxy resins to ensure 100% void-free sealing, protecting the windings from corrosion, humidity, and thermal aging.
YKS water-cooled motors are ideal when ambient air temperatures are high or when dust levels (typical in cement mills) restrict airflow. They maintain low operating temperatures but require a clean, continuous cooling water source. YKK air-cooled motors are simpler to maintain since they use ambient air to cool the motor through internal tubes, making them highly reliable for sites with minimal auxiliary water infrastructure.
Vietnam accepts international IECEx and European ATEX certifications for hazardous locations, in addition to local TCVN standards. Our flameproof (YBX3, YBX5) and dust explosion-proof (YFB3, YFB4) motor lines are manufactured, certified, and stamped under strict compliance to ensure they satisfy the hazardous zone ratings (Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21, and Zone 22) commonly encountered in industrial processes.
After the manufacturing and testing phases, land transport from our facility to the Pingxiang-Lang Son border gate takes about 3 to 4 days, followed by quick customs clearance and delivery to Northern Vietnamese industrial zones (within 1-2 days) or Southern zones (within 3-4 days). Marine shipment from Qingdao/Tianjin to Haiphong port takes approximately 7 to 10 days, offering a fast and cost-effective logistics path.
