What is the difference between IM B5 and IM B14 flanges?

The IM B5 flange features clearance through-holes where fixing bolts are passed from the motor side or machine side to tighten into the opposing thread. The B5 flange outer diameter is also larger than the motor frame. The IM B14 (C-face) flange has threaded holes directly in the flange face and a smaller outer diameter, typically smaller than the motor frame.

Can a B5 motor be mounted horizontally and vertically?
